Fashion and perfume are connected much more than we sometimes think. Some of the fashion houses are inspired by bottles from the past, and some invent new ones, which are then paraded at fashion shows. In the first article on the blog, I collected vivid examples of this cooperation.
In 2016, Armani releases the Fil Rouge perfume inspired by the spring-summer fashion collection. The design of the bottle is made in colorful patterns in red, blue and black colors, which refer to the color of the fabrics on display. The new perfume belongs to the exclusive fragrance line of the Armani Privé Les Éditions Couture.
During Moschino’s spring-summer 2019 fashion show Kendall Jenner walked with a giant bottle of a new fragrance at that time – Toy 2. The glass bottle made in an opaque coating differed from the previous version of this perfume, which was made as a furry teddy bear.
In 2022, the French brand Paco Rabbane launched its new perfume Fame. The design of the bottle takes us back to the glamorous 60s and the famous silver and gold chainmail dresses, as well as the earrings and bracelet – the brand’s best-selling accessories.
The golden details of the McQueen bottle released in 2016, refer us to the collections of the eponymous fashion house. It’s a unique, luxurious scent that feels like an expensive fabric draped over your skin.
During the presentation of the cruise collection in 2014 Chanel presented a series of transparent clutches made in the shape of bottle №5. Since 1921 this perfume has continued to inspire the French brand for the design of accessories and jewelry.
In 1983, at the show of the autumn-winter collection of the Yves Sain Laurent fashion house, model Mounia presented a large bottle of perfume on the catwalk. In this way, the French designer decided to advertise the new fragrance Paris, the presentation of which was planned in a few months.
At the fall-winter 2021/22 Nina Ricci show the models appeared in necklaces showing the famous fragrance L’aire du temps. With this poetic name, which literally means “Spirit of the times”, the French house named its legendary perfume in 1948.
